The Youth in Action Programme aims to respond at European level needs of young people, from adolescence to adulthood. Contributing significantly to the acquisition of skills, it represents a key instrument in providing young people with opportunities for formal and informal learning in a European dimension. It also contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the revision of the Lisbon Strategy and the European Pact for Youth. As an important tool to strengthen active citizenship, the program also fits in the framework of European cooperation in youth policy and in the Commission's Plan D for Democracy, Dialogue and Debate.
From 4 to 12 August 2009, the Cooperative Promotion 80 Oppido Lucan, thanks to this program Youth in Action, Action 1.1, and the project entitled "IDENTITY AND SOCIAL INTEGRATION: THE FUTURE OF GROWTH" (approved by the 'National Agency for Youth) has sent a team of oppidesi children in the municipality of Asker, Norway.
Everything was preceded by a preliminary visit in Norway, conducted in July, the project leader Teodoro Avigliano accompanied by a young participant trading activity, Giuseppe Calabrese, who worked for a few days with Norwegian managers, so that the week of exchange to take place in the best way.
During the week stay the group has carried out many activities, from debates to sport, from the knowledge of the Norwegian territory to the ongoing confrontation with the "different". Thanks also to the contribution of their skills and their hearts to Vincent, Agnes, Valeria, Maria and Victoria, together with the Norwegian tutor, they were able to conduct the exchange in the right direction.
