Huge Families Ireland

KINGS OF CONVENIENCE .... Finally!

The two norvegesei Erlend Øye and Eirik Bøe Glambek announced in October for the release of their third studio album, Declaration Of Dependence , which is already in these early days of the first single.
This Mrs. Cold , track naturally lean and built on soft guitar arpeggios and soothing voice. Even in the face of the vicissitudes of courtship, especially a woman's icy and distant, the atmosphere do not turn to the scratching or acid but remain serene, clean.

EUROPE: FROM THE DEEP SOUTH DEEP NORTH

Youth in Action is a program established by the European Union specifically for young people: the goal is to give young Europeans a sense of active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance, involving them in building the future of the Union. The program promotes mobility within and beyond the EU borders, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue, encouraging the involvement of all young people regardless of educational level, social background and cultural background: Youth in Action is a program for all!

The Youth in Action Programme aims to respond at European level needs of young people, from adolescence to adulthood. Contributing significantly to the acquisition of skills, it represents a key instrument in providing young people with opportunities for formal and informal learning in a European dimension. It also contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the revision of the Lisbon Strategy and the European Pact for Youth. As an important tool to strengthen active citizenship, the program also fits in the framework of European cooperation in youth policy and in the Commission's Plan D for Democracy, Dialogue and Debate.

From 4 to 12 August 2009, the Cooperative Promotion 80 Oppido Lucan, thanks to this program Youth in Action, Action 1.1, and the project entitled "IDENTITY AND SOCIAL INTEGRATION: THE FUTURE OF GROWTH" (approved by the 'National Agency for Youth) has sent a team of oppidesi children in the municipality of Asker, Norway.

Everything was preceded by a preliminary visit in Norway, conducted in July, the project leader Teodoro Avigliano accompanied by a young participant trading activity, Giuseppe Calabrese, who worked for a few days with Norwegian managers, so that the week of exchange to take place in the best way.

During the week stay the group has carried out many activities, from debates to sport, from the knowledge of the Norwegian territory to the ongoing confrontation with the "different". Thanks also to the contribution of their skills and their hearts to Vincent, Agnes, Valeria, Maria and Victoria, together with the Norwegian tutor, they were able to conduct the exchange in the right direction.

BELOW THE PUBLIC SOME FEELINGS and emotions experienced by the children and guardians

Dear and beloved children of Theodore Oppido,

again I declined to make my speech, we said good night, for fear of being moved. You, Theodore, instead you started, like many of the boys. You deserve a round of applause!

I do not really like being in the spotlight. There will have noticed. Sometimes it can be a virtue in this case is a weakness.

comes to my mind, to justify a beautiful verse of Mogul, in the song "Rainbow" dedicated to Lucio Battisti. Says: "My speech more beautiful and more dense with silence expresses its meaning." So I write. Why is the word that is sometimes noise, while the writing is silent.

We were together in two memorable occasions, first in the Deep South and the second in the depths of our northern Europe. I'm trying to compare the two experiences, and more and more I sense that we feel is impossible. I do not know if this is for you. I do not know if either of you guys accomplished in the same magic Asker Oppido to last year. Everyone will find the answer within himself, measuring their emozioni.Nei days when we were together I spent more and stay with you and thinking about the logistical problems of the organization. Much more beautiful and interesting to see you laugh, laugh, discuss, interact, think that the "program" and the times.

I had already anticipated the withdrawal symptoms from pasta and "Panepinto" who took the second day. Still laugh when I remember the joy of motion of enthusiasm Vincent Trekanten of the supermarket, in front of a blue pack of Barilla! I thought back to me 15 years ago, had just arrived when the Barilla was not yet in Norway. The pasta, for us, is not only good, is also a strong symbol of belonging and not a joke without it. But I want to remind some of Ingunn words, in the evening to say goodbye, I found true. He said that our boys "their pasta" were forced to abandon it and who knows if and when the meet again.

of you one day will go by Oppido and Italy, not with a suitcase tied with string, like our great-grandparents, but with a high school diploma or a degree in his pocket, to look for something better but not much more than what he has, in the hardest moments you remember Moha, Gifty, Sara, Shemis ... and feel of the city world.

This is basically our message, the experience that we have made available in this exchange. We, in the weeks that we worked with the boys prepare for your visit, we hoped that we would all intensely brought here a piece of Oppido, and the memory of that magic that has brought us together last year.

So it was. The center of Asker, that our children do not go far, it has become for them that week, in a Oppido "reconstructed" to 60 degrees latitude north! Eravate in trasferta.

Abbracciatemi Vincent, Agnes, Valeria, Victoria, Maria and then Nico, Michael, Catherine and Paul and all those who were not with us this time.

I love you

John

Dear Teodoro and dear Oppido-youth,

Once again, I have avoided to present my speech, in farewell evening for fear of be too emotional.

You, Teodoro jumped in it and so did many of the youths. You deserve an applause!

I'm not so fond of being in focus, and I'm sure you noticed. Sometimes it can be a good, but in this case it is a weakness. order to excuse me, I will point out a poem by Mogol, in the song "L'Arcobaleno - Rainbow, dedicated to Lucio Battisti, who says," my speech, the mashed beautiful and dense, with the silence express its sense " (" Il mio discorso più bello e più Denso esprime con il silenzio il suo sensors ").

Sometimes just talking noise, while the font is silence. Therefore I choose to write.

We have been together for two memorable occasions, the first time in the syrligste south and the second time in the north of our northernmost Europe. I'm trying to compare these two experiences, but the more I try the more I understand that it's impossible. I do not know if it also is so for you. I do not know if your youngsters managed to recreate the same magic in Asker that we experienced in Oppido Ifjord. Every one knows the answer himself and may even judge it. The days we've been together I have spent more time trying to be with you than to think of the logistical problems associated with planning. It's much cozier and more interesting to watch you laughing, messing and fool, discuss and interact, than thinking about the program and schedule. I had already thought of withdrawal crisis for pasta, and their bread "Panella" that you actually already experienced the other day. And I still laugh when I think of Vincenzo enthusiastic gledeshyl Menu triangle when he saw the blue-Barilla package (with authentic Italian pasta). It made me think of myself 15 years ago, when I had just moved to Norway and Barilla was not yet on store shelves.

Pasta for us is not only good, it is also a symbol of the strong sense of belonging, and it is no joke to relinquish. With this I will remind you of something Ingunn said at the farewell night, which I thought was more than just true. She mentioned that we had to think that our youth (in homeshare) has been forced to leave "their pasta" long and who knows when and if they ever get it back. This is kind of our message to you.

Those of you who one day decides to move from Oppido and going from Italy, no longer with a suitcase bound with twine, as our great-grandparents, but with a diploma from high school or from the university, to find, no better, but perhaps something more than what we already have, in difficult times, remember back on Moha, Gifty, Sara, Shemis ... and feel like a world citizen.

This is our message to you. This is the experience that we've given you in this exchange.

In the weeks that we planned together with the youth of their visit, we hope that you would take with you a little piece Oppido for us, and the magical memory that bound us together in the fjord. That has been. Asker center, as for our youth has never been anything particularly interesting, was for them the week that a rebuilt again Oppido, 60 degrees north! Cherko has said that the finest he noticed with you was that you look like a big family. And it's true. You were away from home. You have been an example of solidarity, and you've proven what it means to have a strong sense of belonging. There have been a fine example for our youth, whose difficulty precisely this feeling of not belonging, and having been moved from one place to another. Because it is precisely this strong sense of belonging and a deep awareness of their own identity that makes it possible to open for other people and cultures, as you have shown us that you can. This, I finally have their message, that is what is left in our hearts. There I found again "my" Oppido in Asker. Give a hug from me to Vincenzo, Agnese, Valeria, Vittoria, Maria and Nico, Michele, Caterina, Paolo and to all those who this time was not with us

I love you,

Giovanni

emotions and feelings of Teodoro Avigliano (project manager and tutor group oppidese)

Dear John and dear boys,
I write about 12 days after the last time that our eyes have crossed the yours. Unfortunately they were so many emotions and thoughts, I had to wait a lot 'of time to sort them in different "drawers" and be able to write a few sentences, I hope so that these few words I am about to write may come from the up permeated all their meaning.

In your letter, I have applause, mostly because, with the children, I found the courage to say a few words in public. But I give back the applause you for the beautiful words you wrote, and as usual, can move me and to raise the abandonment reflection. It's nice think that Friday night, while you were writing, we all were to Day Centre to look at the pictures of the exchange accompanied by a nice pasta tuna and olives, prepared by the students.
Yes, it's true! There we met in two totally different reality, but at the same time beautiful and magical. If you Oppido to have met a great family, in Asker we met "ONE WORLD" made up of many "colors" which our kids do not know and that, thanks to you, had the chance to understand what it means to "Citizens of World."
I think last year we have given from the heart and this year we have received with so much heart, because re- "warmth" in a country "cold" as your means to put so much heart and so we thank from the depths of the soul.
is useless to draw the differences between our reality, because in my opinion is much more useful thought of as two realities alone different, but that whole "you complete." This is the most beautiful and profound meaning that came outside the experience of exchange. While we have learned to better respect the rules, on the other you have learned to be more "flexible." :-) While we are a great family with a strong sense of belonging, on the other, thanks to you, we were able to fully understand the meaning and increase the awareness of having a huge gift that unfortunately many Moha, Gifty, Sara, Shemis, Waqas, Nemet, scattered the world, do not have: "The coscienza profonda della propria identità”.

Dal nostro scambio, e soprattutto dall’ umiltà con la quale è stato vissuto, sono nati tantissimi flowers, each with its own color and scent, but at the same time children the same field. ...

I send a big hug to Ingunn, ARNE, Maryan, Cherki, PIERPARIM, ELISABETH, PATRICIA, THOMAS, NINA ... .... Well all of us who wanted and wish us well ....

But most of all I send a hug to our and your children and you John .... old friends.

I want a "world" GOOD

TEODORO

Quest è la traduzione in norvegese (Grazie a Nina Lorenzi)

Dear Giovanni and dear youth,

I write to you 12 days after the last time our eyes crossed theirs. Unfortunately, there were so many thoughts and emotions involved that I had to wait a while before I could put each in a drawer and write a few sentences.

Yes, it's true, we found each other in two different realities, which, despite differences have been beautiful and magical. If you Oppido found in a large family, as we found in Asker, a world made of colors that our youth had no knowledge of, and thanks to you, they have been able to understand what it means to be a world citizen.

I think that we, in the fjord giving with our hearts, and that we, in the year, has been greeted with the same heartwarming. To recreate the spontaneous warmth that is common among us is not so easy in a cold country like theirs, and that means you've added a lot of heart in it, for this I thank you in the deepest of my soul.

There's no point trying to find differences in our realities. I think that it is better to think about those two separately different realities, which together become one. This is the nicest word that has come from this experience. If we are on one side have learned to respect the rules, do you have on the other hand, learned to be more flexible. If we are on one side is seen as a big family with a strong sense of belonging, as we have, thanks to you, learned to understand the importance of it to be. On the other hand you have increased our awareness that we have a gift that they Moha, Gifty, Sara, Shemis, Waqas and Nemet, scattered around the world may no longer have. The deep knowledge of their own identity.

I always have a sentence from the songs of Fabrizio De Andre on the sly : Up from diamonds grows nothing but up from dirt grows the flowers ...

From our exchanges, and the humility it was experienced with, have grown lots of flowers, each with its color and its fragrance, and all sons of the same garden.

I send a big hug to INGUNN, ARNE, Maryan, CHERKO, PERPARIM, ELISABETH, PATRICIA ...

yes, to all those who have wished to have us there and who love us. A special hug to you Giovanni, a friend of all time.

Teodoro
