Oggi voglio segnalarvi un romanzo bellissimo di Dino Buzzati. Io ho avuto la fortuna di scoprire questo romanzo circa un mese fa, quando il mio caro amico GIovanni Lorenzi mi ha spedito una copia del libro dalla Norvegia. Consiglio la lettura di questo romanzo a tutti coloro che vivono la realtà con un pizzico di fantasia. 

Il romanzo, piuttosto breve al limite con il  racconto  è scritto nel tipico stile lineare e diretto di Buzzati. I fatti, tanto realistici quanto fantastici, vengono raccontati in maniera giornalistica e senza le sbavature retoriche che ci si potrebbe aspettare a work that draws on the tradition of fairy tales. do not think it coincidence that the Old Forest spoken of in this fine book Buzzati, has first and last name with a lot of capital letters.
